We are fully compliant with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA). All our street works operatives hold current SWQR cards, ensuring every project is carried out safely, professionally, and in full compliance with industry regulations.

Utility, Street Works & Highway Permits

We work in conjuction with Thames Water to carry out sewer connections and can manage the whole process on your behalf. From completing the required applications and paperwork to carrying out the connection itself, we provide a seamless service, giving you one point of contact from start to finish.

We work closely with Oxfordshire County Council and other local highway authorities to manage all the approvals required for works within the public highway.

From Section 50 Licences and Road Space Bookings to Temporary Road Closures and

"Over the past decade we have completed two extensive renovation projects on houses in Oxfordshire. Gorman Surfacing landscaped and re-surfaced the large driveway of our first project. We were so impressed by the quality of the work that we asked Gorman Surfacing to do all of the major ground work on our second project. This involved decommissioning an old septic tank and connecting a large farmhouse to the mains sewage system. Gorman Surfacing managed all of the paperwork involved with applying for County Council permits. The company dug out all of the trenches for new oil pipes, electric cables and water pipes. The job was managed with great efficiency and came in within budget and on time. They are a very reliable company. Men and machines were on site when they were expected and stayed until the work was complete. They were very flexible and worked well with all of the other on-site contractors. LINCOLN COLLEGE, OXFORD
Resurfacing of external paths to residential blocks on Oxford Brookes University's very busy Campus. "This work was carried during the Summer Vacation by Gorman [Civil Engineering & Groundworks]. The existing path surfaces and kerbs were uneven and had become a Health & Safety issue. The project was carried out in 2 phases to link in with the University's calendar and the Summer Schools programme .The works were carefully planned at a Pre Start meeting with Gormans . Each phase was completed in approx 1 week with minimal disruption and disturbance to site users. The end result is a much improved path providing smooth safe access for site users. Gorman Surfacing Limited performed well and completed the works within the timescales set by Oxford Brookes University"
